With wonderful crowds and Scottish Pipers en-route, this city really comes alive at race time. A flatter and faster route takes in all the sites of this historic city including Edinburgh Castle, Scots Monument, New Parliament Building and Princes Street. You can choose to either run the full marathon distance yourself, or share the experience with your friends and/or family by entering a team of 4 into the Hairy Haggis Team Relay - whereby each team member runs a quarter of the course (just over 6 miles).

One of the top 5 marathons in the world, the Berlin Marathon has a proud reputation as a genuine people's race. With over 40,000 runners taking part and over 1 million people lining the route this event is one not to be missed. The fast and flat course takes runners on a tour through 20th Century history, through the once divided austere East Germany and the more hi-tech West Germany, giving you plenty of sites to take in along the way, unless of course you're going for a World Record!
